For over a decade we've know him as Wash from Firefly, now he's sure to make another mark on pop culture with a role in the first Star Wars Anthology film Rogue One. Alan Tudyk recently spoke with The Hollywood Reporter about his new web series "Con Man" and, of course, his still unspecified role in the Star Wars Saga. While reportedly on set in London shooting Rogue One, Tudyk talked about the experience on set and the practical effects that have become infamous in these new films:
"You are amazed at what you can look at, because it is a physical world. If there are creatures, then there are creatures; if there are spaceships, then there are spaceships. It's not huge swaths of green hung from the rafters. You have it all there, and if you don't have it there then you go fly some place that does."
It seems director Gareth Edwards is taking some cues from J.J. Abrams with the use of practical effects in Rogue One, which is good to hear.
Alan Tudyk will star alongside Felicity Jones, Diego Luna, Mads Mikkelsen and many others in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, which is set for release on December 16th, 2016!
