Mark Hamill Denies Rumors that he Almost Died While Shooting at Skellig Michael

As soon as shooting for Star Wars Episode VIII was confirmed for this week at Skellig Michael, a story began to be circulated by The Daily Mail, a UK Tabloid, that Mark Hamill nearly died after slipping on some steps on Skellig Michael when they were shooting The Force Awakens last summer.  Turns out it's not true. Surprise! (Not.)   Hamill took to Twitter to confirm that he "didn't so much as stub a toe on Skellig Michael'.

I can't say I'm surprised that the story was fabricated.  The press had a field day last summer when Harrison Ford broke his ankle on the set of The Force Awakens.  It seems they were trying to re-capture some of the magic of the "Star Wars Curse" story.  Thankfully, Mark was there to set the record straight.
