Funko and Lucasfilm Announce 'Smuggler's Bounty' Subscription Box

Lucasfilm announced today that they will be partnering with Funko and throwing their hat in the ring of subscription boxes.  The boxes will be shipped every other month, costing $25 US per box, and will contain various Funko Star Wars products.  The first box will be shipped in November and will be The Force Awakens themed.  StarWars.com promises that this first box will contain two exclusive Pop! Vinyl bobble heads from The Force Awakens.

If you're unfamiliar with the subscription box trend, it's essentially like subscribing to a magazine, where you pay monthly (or bi-monthly) fee but instead of being sent a magazine you are sent a box full of collectibles.  This service was popularized by companies such as Loot Crate, which sends fans a variety of collectibles (comic books, action figures, etc.) from a variety of companies (Marvel, DC, etc.).
