While the focus on this summer has been Star Wars: Episode VII The Force Awakens (and rightfully so), we needn't forget that the weekly animated series Star Wars Rebels is still in production and Season Two is right around the corner. We haven't seen much from Rebels since the Season Two TV movie event "The Siege of Lothal" back in June, but that all seems like its about to change. Our pals over at Jedi News spotted a new TV spot for Season Two of Rebels during the airing of thee latest episode of Lego Star Wars: Droid Tales and recorded it off their TV check it out below,
First off, kudos to Jedi News for posting this. While the quality isn't the greatest we can still make out some cool details. We get another look at returning favourites like Ahsoka Tano, Clone Captain Rex (who will appear in the season premiere), and Darth Vader. Plus, we catch a few more quick glimpses of the new Inquisitors, as well as some shots of Ezra wielding his lightsaber and Sabine in action.
As for when Season Two will finally air, the trailer just reiterates what we already know, the Season will debut on Disney XD sometime in October. We know that the first two episodes will debut at a premiere screening on October 8th during New York Comic Con. A safe guess for when everyone else will see them might be the following Monday, October 12th, but that's just a guess on my part.
Regardless it's exciting to see Star Wars Rebels make its return for Season Two and I can't wait to see our heroes in action once again. What are you hoping to see in Season two of Rebels? Let us know in the comments!
