The next generation of Star Wars toys have a release date. StarWars.com announced today that all the merchandise for Star Wars: Episode VII The Force Awakens will hit shelves on what is know know as "Force Friday," September 4, 2015. As part of the celebrations, stores around the world will open their doors at 12:01am so that fans can be the first to pick up the new merchandise. Fans are encouraged to use the hashtags #ForceFriday and #MidnightMadness in advance of the event.
“Every lightsaber, every action figure, every LEGO set tells a story for generations of Star Wars
fans, and this global event is a celebration of those stories. We’re
excited to be part of the countdown to this enormous movie moment,”
Josh Silverman, executive vice president, global licensing, Disney
Consumer Products, told StarWars.com.
StarWars.com also unveiled the packaging for all The Force Awakens product, which features the villainous Kylo Ren. Check it out below,
