The Clone War is not yet over! Over a year ago the hit, Emmy winning animated series Star Wars: The Clone Wars drew to a close with it's sixth season, leaving fans of the show wondering if we would ever see it's storylines continue. Since then we've been treated to various literature from that era, and even a set of unfinished "story reel" episodes. Today StarWars.com has announced that Lucasfilm will be following up those with a new, never before seen arc of four episodes from what would have been the series' seventh season at Star Wars Celebration Anaheim.
The "Bad Batch Arc", which was teased to by it's writer Brent Friedman not long ago, stars Captain Rex and a team of experimental Clone Commandos, which includes Arc Trooper Echo, who was presumed dead in season three. In a blog post last year, former supervising director Dave Filoni revealed a piece of concept art of Echo from the Bad Batch arc, thus confirming fan speculation that “Yes, Echo is alive.” Now Filoni and crew are set to reveal Echo's continuing story in these episodes, which feature unfinished animation, similar to aforementioned Utapau Arc released last September, along with complete vocal performances by the actors, specifcally Dee Bradley Baker who voices all the Clones.
The screening is scheduled to take place Friday, April 17th at 12:00pm on the Digital stage at Celebration Anaheim. Afterward Dave Filoni, Dee Bradley Baker and writers Matt Michnovetz and Brent Friedman will be present for a Q & A. Fans of The Clone Wars will not want to miss this event!
Star Wars Celebration Anaheim takes place April 16th - 19th in Anaheim, California. Click here to get your tickets now!
