Report: Seven 'The Force Awakens' Lego Sets Are Coming

By: Dominic Jones

We've known for a while that Lego set based on Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens were in the works, but now we know just how many.  The website Pocket-lint got confirmation from Lego that seven sets based on Episode VII are in the works.

According to Pocket-lint,
"Lego has confirmed to Pocket-lint that it will be releasing a number of sets to coincide with the launch of the new Star Wars movie releasing later this year.

The seven sets will be launched in time for Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens and feature key moments and characters, from the new film.

Being shown off to a select few important people at the London Toy Fair behind very closed doors, Lego was coy to detail what the new sets would feature or what characters would become minifigures. "

This is exciting news, though I don't expect we'll see these sets officially until April at the earliest (I expect Lego will follow Hasbro's example and not have the sets on display for the press at Toy Fair.  In the meantime, aparently sets based on the final duel in Return of the Jedi, an Imperial Shuttle, and a Naboo N1-starfighter, are slated to be released this year.
