Oscar Isaac Describes JJ Abrams' Reaction to Harrison Ford Injury

We all remember a few months ago when Harrison Ford was crushed by the Millennium Falcon and the future of Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens was in jeopardy!  Well, technically that's not true.  We have since learned that Harrison had a minor injury on the set and the shooting schedule had to be somewhat reworked.  It turns, while the Internet was freaking out that the sky was falling, director JJ Abrams had a very different reaction.

Oscar Isaac, who plays Poe Dameron in The Force Awakens, spoke with The Huffington Post recently while promoting his new film A Most Violent Year and revealed exactly how Abrams responded saying,

“JJ was in such high spirits, he was literally making jokes on the loudspeakers.

“We had a big schedule that day, but JJ stopped us all and he said, ‘Can everybody just stop and look at the moon right now?'

“He said, ‘Look how beautiful it is, and how lucky we all are to be here.’

“JJ knows what’s important, and he reminded us it was a beautiful experience. He made it very personal.”

It's good to hear that, contrary to some reports at the time, nobody on set really panicked when Ford went down with his injury.
