Could an Avenger be headed to a Galaxy far, far away? Mark Ruffalo, who's best know for his portrayal of Bruce Banner/The Hulk in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, recently spoke with Collider and spilled the beans on his private campaign to get a role in one of the Star Wars Sequels. Ruffalo happens to be friends with Episode VIII director Rian Johnson, having worked with him on Brothers Bloom(2008). Apparently the two haven't been in contact much since then, but Ruffalo reveals that not long after Johnson got his Star Wars gig, Mark sent him an email which read:
“Rian, congratulations on everything you’ve been doing. And by the way, if there’s a part in Star Wars, please, anything, please consider considering me to join you.”
Ruffalo added that he would even be interested in a CGI/motion capture role, similar to his ongoing work on the Avengers films. With the addition of Andy Serkis to the Saga, who is also set to appear in Avengers: Age Of Ultron, that may very well be a possibility for Mark.
So, if he gets his wish, what kind of character would you like to see Mark Ruffalo play in the Star Wars universe? Let us know in the comments below!
