The guys over at the Rebels Report have revealed the covers of five tie in young readers books that will be released to promote the release of the animated series Star Wars Rebels this fall. The books are A New Hero (by Pablo Hidalgo), Zeb to the Rescue, Chopper Saves The Day, Rise of the Rebels, and Ezra's Gamble (by Ryder Windham).
The release date for all the books is August 5th, 2014 and the price for each book is:
- $17.99 US ($18.99 Cdn) for A New Hero
- $4.99 US ($5.50 Cdn) for Chopper Saves The Day
- $6.99 US ($7.99 Cdn) for Ezra's Gamble
- $5.99 US ($6.50 Cdn) for Rise of the Rebels
- $3.99 US ($4.50 Cdn) for Zeb to the Rescue
Interestingly the cover for Ezra's Gamble features what appears to Bossk (specifically the animation model of Bossk from The Clone Wars!) Does this mean we'll be seeing Bossk in season 1 of Rebels, if not the premiere? It seems a bit unlikely since it is The Clone Wars animation model used on the cover, and it's been stated in the past that they won't be re-using models from The Clone Wars on Rebels.
I would think if Bossk were to appear on the show, they would want to
use the character model they developed for the series, but then I could
be wrong and they just couldn't get that animation model ready in time
for the book cover. (All that is pure speculation of course).
