The good folks at Jedi News have received synopsises for two episodes of the upcoming Star Wars: The Clone Wars bonus content, which could very well be the series finale. The info comes via StarWars-Union.de, a German fan site:

Warning: Possibly major spoilers ahead!

  • Destiny
"Guided by the Force, Yoda travels to the heart of the galaxy. There, on the planet where he finds the origin of the Force, he must face difficult trials. Only upon passing them will the Sages deem him worthy of learning the deepest mysteries of the Force...."

  • Sacrifice
"On Moriband, the homeworld of the Sith, the time has come for Yoda to pass his final test. Only then will he learn the best-kept secret of his order, but first a most powerful enemy awaits...."

These two are appear to accompany the previously revealed synopsis for the episode Voices, which read:

"Yoda is deeply unsettled when he hears the voice of his deceased friend Qui-Gon Jinn in his head because he knows that not even a Jedi can speak to the living from beyond the grave. The Jedi Council is concerned about Yoda’s behaviour and wants to examine him further. But with the help of Anakin, Yoda can escape from the hospital and he sets out to find the origin of the voice by himself."

What's interesting is the mention of "Moriband" as the the Sith homeworld. It's long been established in the Expanded Universe, and in video games like The Old Republic, that homeworld of the Sith is Korriban. I agree with Jedi News that this is most likely a typo that came about in the translation from German to English. But we'll have to wait and see if The Clone Wars will alter EU canon one last time.

These episodes certainly sound promising as a possible finale to this magnificent series. Since The Clone Wars started with Yoda, it only makes sense that it would end with him. But, as always, this is not official until it's confirmed by Lucasfilm.

  1. Wow... that's insane! Sounds very Mortis-y. Which makes sense considering these episodes were written by Christian Taylor.

  2. Indeed! Even thought these episodes weren't initially meant to be the series finale, I think they'll end up providing a fitting end to the series.

  3. Awesome!!! and Yea just from reading the description the yoda episodes the last 2 have a LOTR Return of the King kind of feel to them. Another point they could always use Korriban in a future SW story either in Rebels or in the new films. And maybe it was mis-communication from the German website.
