Report: 'Star Wars 1313' Trademark Not Renewed by Disney

By: Dominic Jones

I think it's safe to say this is the final nail in the coffin for the cancelled video game Star Wars 1313.  The Escapist is reporting that,

"The United States Patent and Trademark Office currently classifies Star Wars 1313 as 'Abandoned because no Statement of Use or Extension Request timely filed after Notice of Allowance was issued.'"

Up until this point some fan had hoped that EA would pick up work on the game where LucasArts left off, but now that seems to be done.  1313 was first announced back at E3 in 2012 and was cancelled when LucasArts shut down in April.   Since then details about the story, which would have featured Boba Fett have leaked out.

With E3 2014 now just a few months away, it will be interesting to see what EA has in store for Star Wars.
