UPDATE: Variety reporter Marc Graser tweeted that his sources are debunking the rumor. Still no word from Lucasfilm or Disney.
ORIGINAL STORY:
Could Star Wars Episode VII be the first live action Star Wars film not to be released in May? Bad Ass Digest is reporting that, they're sources say, Disney is planning on releasing the highly anticipated film in December 2015, rather than summer 2015. Bad Ass Digest also suggests December 15th as a potential release date for the film.
Being told there's no truth to the December release date for #StarWars #Disney

While this is contrary to everything we have heard out of Lucasfilm and Disney, it would not be a surprising move. Star Wars will be a box office smash no matter when it is released. In addition it would give JJ Abrams and Co. more time to complete the film, as many have speculated that the current time frame may result in a rushed product. Remember this is only a rumor until confirmed or denied by Lucasfilm or Disney.
