It's not over yet for Star Wars: The Clone Wars! Even though the popular animated series has been canceled it appears it's TV run will not be coming to an end anytime soon. Toonami, the action orientated animation block of Cartoon Network's late night Adult Swim programming has picked up the Clone Wars and will begin airing episodes on August 17th. The announcement came via Toonami's Tumblr page. Along with that, theouthousers.com is reporting that Toonami will be skipping the "kid friendly" episodes in favor of ones that are action heavy. In Clone Wars fan-speak; expect less from the first half of season three and more from the second half. They also said that Toonami expressed interest in getting the uncut versions of the episodes in their original 2.35.1 aspect ratio, as well as airing the "Bonus content" episodes of season six.
It is certainly refreshing to hear that the Clone Wars will be returning to the small screen, and the possibility of airing the anxiously awaited bonus content is extremely exciting! It was recently revealed at Star Wars Celebration Europe II that the Clone Wars crew is currently exploring ways to distribute the bonus content, could this be one of the options?
