Take this one with a major grain of salt folks. U.K news outlet, The Sun is reporting that pop singer Florence Welch is expected to star as the leading female role in the JJ Abrams directed film. The Sun's inside source claims that,
"We think Florence has the exact style we
are looking for. She has done some acting but it was her singing on stage that initially
caught the eye. Almost every actress in Hollywood wants a role in the new movies but we are
keen to cast people who are unexpected. Florence is being considered for a major part that would turn her into an
A-list actress overnight."
Remember nothing is official unless it comes directly from Lucasfilm or Disney. Personally I find this rumor particularly hard to believe. Many fans are hoping for an appearance by Mara Jade in the film, and any rumor involving a red head will lead immediately to that line of speculation, which makes easy to see how a rumor like this could be started.
