ComingSoon.net is reporting that Lucasfilm and Disney announced at CinemaCon in Las Vegas that Star Wars Episode VII is slated for a Summer 2015 release date and it will be followed by a new Star Wars film every Summer afterward. Previously there had been talks about Disney following the Marvel model with future Star Wars films, now we have confirmation. They will alternate between stand alone movies, rumored to be focused on specific characters like Boba Fett and Han Solo, and the numbered Sequel films. Episode VII in 2015, then a Stand alone film 2016, followed by episode VIII in 2017, etc. Although many credibal sources have reported on this it's still hersay until an offical announcment on StarWars.com is released. Stay tuned!
So are you excited about getting a new Star Wars movie every year? Or is this a bit too much? Let us know in the comments below.
Never enough starwars
ReplyDeleteOne movie per year, how can the quality not suffer?
ReplyDeleteNo stand alone movies!! That isn't what George Lucas did so why start now!! I think that Disney Should only focus on the Star Wars Trilogy and that's it. Get Episode VII through IX out and then continue on with more episodes instead of spin offs those never work. I think that If they wanted to do a spin off they should do a TV series and have Boba Fett and Han Solo and the number of sequel stand alone films only be TV series!
ReplyDeleteAnd lets finish Star Wars The Clone Wars animated TV series to the finish line! Get us into Battle of Coruscant in Episode III ROTS.
ReplyDeletedude you butchered your spelling...like horribly
