New Clone Wars Preview Clip

After months of the #SaveTheCloneWars campaign, it's nice to have a little good news about Star Wars: The Clone Wars.  While it's by no means the return of the series we were hoping for, USA Today has released a new preview clip from one of the upcoming Bonus Content story arcs.  The clip features Plo Koon leading the Wolf Pack on some kind of search mission through a sandstorm, culminating in a most interesting discovery.  Check out the clip below:

The USA Today article also features an interview with Supervising Director Dave Filoni, who makes some interesting comments about the previewed arc saying, "The Jedi have been fighting a war with an army that was commissioned by one of their own, Jedi Master Syfo-Dias.  But who was Syfo-Dias, and what happened to him? The dark lord of the Sith has woven an intricate web to ensnare the Jedi, but it is not full-proof and sometimes a small clue, and a bit of chance, can lead to the unraveling of the best-laid plans"

The interview also touches on Filoni's future at Lucasfilm, his excitement about JJ Abrams and Episode VII, as well as his thoughts on the season 5 finale, specifically Ahsoka's decision to leave the Jedi Order.  Like any interview Filoni gives it is definitely worth a read as he is master of hints and teases without giving anything away.  The article and the clip both provide hope that the Bonus Content will indeed be more than just two arcs.

The end of the preview also hints that we may be seeing even more Clone Wars, or perhaps learning where we'll be able to find this bonus content, in the coming week.  As with Filoni's video announcement that the series was winding down, this clip ends with a title card which reads "Keep Checking StarWars.com for Updates", however this one also includes the hashtag #MayThe4thBeWithYou.  Does this mean we can expect another update on our beloved series on Star Wars Day?  It certainly seems like a logical time to make an announcement about where and when we can see the bonus content, or perhaps drop a "Bonus Content Mega-Trailer", like we've seen for past seasons.  Or it could mean, nothing and is just promoting other May the 4th festivities.

Regardless, it's so nice to be seeing new Clone Wars again....
