Clone Wars Bloopers: Ep. 3.20 "Citadel Rescue"

There's a lot to talk about in this episode so let's get moving!

In the last episode, CounterAttack, there were three Battle Droids assisting the group,
during the climax of that episode one of them is destroyed.
But in this episode the Droid has miraculously returned just in time to be destroyed a second time.

Now this one surprised me!
At first we see Anakin, Tarkin, Ahsoka, Even Piell, Rex, Cody and Artoo. I guess that means we're missing Obi-Wan, Fives and the rest of the Clones, right?
A few seconds later Obi-Wan has appeared and Piell is gone.
Darn it! Now the Jedi are using teleporters!
A few frames (and a few "Really's) later the rest of the group shows up along with Piell.
A few seconds later when the group departs and the camera pans away Fives and several of the Clones are nowhere to be seen.
The Clones may have just been lagging behind and out of frame but I don't think the animators would have done something like that purposely.
Next up, When Tarkin, Rex, Fives and the rest of the Clones come running through the fog headed to to meet Obi-Wan and Obi-Wan, one of the Officers is unseen in that particular shot.
But in the next shot he reappears alongside Fives and Cody.

Next, in the middle of firefight, one of the Clone officers pushes Tarkin out of the way of some laser fire. In turn, sacrificing himself and taking a shot to the back.
But the Clone has no wound when he falls to the ground.
Perhaps that spiffy white suit provides more protection than the white plastic armor the troopers wear.

And finally, the last surviving Clone officer can be seen fighting just before Sobeck is killed....
Yet There's no sign of him when the group is boarding the gunship.
He soon reappears when Anakin jumps aboard.

Random Note: Crab(Droid) Legs
In Episode III: Revenge of the Sith Crab Droids have six legs, seen here.
Yet in the show it only has four.

This could be easily excused simply because the droids seen in the Clone Wars could be earlier models, or prototypes of the ones seen in Revenge Of The Sith. But still, something interesting to watch for. And one other thing, how exactly did all those crab droids get on that island?
Are they indestructible or do they have super-duper ray shields that would allow them to walk under the Lava? If that were the case they wouldn't blow up when the Jedi fighters blasted them.

This has got to be the best episode we've seen yet. The Citadel trilogy ended on a high note and made it one of my favorite trilogies of the series. Last season we had a lot of episodes that we're inspired by other franchises. This time we got three episodes that were inspired by Star Wars! What more can you ask for? Aside from the controversy surrounding the death of Even Peill, I have heard few complaints about this episode.

Until next time, MTFBWY!! -B-
