Collecting Announcements Round Up

There have been a bunch of new reveals of new collectibles coming later this year this past week.  So, we've compiled all the details of the reveals for you here.

2ft. "Role Playing" Millennium Falcon

Coming later this years, this massive 2ft. long Millenium Falcon was revealed by the goof folks over at Yodas News.  The radar dish and canons are rotatable, however no figures are included.  Interestingly the packaging is the same as that being used for Rebels  products.  Is this a hint we'll be seeing the Falcon show up on Rebels?  Regardless, we know the Falcon's back for Episode VII so this is a great way to re-introduce kids to the fastest hunk of junk in the galaxy.  You can check out more images of the Falcon here.


The Inquisitor's Lightsaber Packaging Revealed

The lightsaber of main villain from Star Wars Rebels was first revealed as a toy back at Toy Fair but now we have our look at the packaging.  (As well as a few new stills of the animated character model!)

Gentle Giant Zeb Maquette

More from the upcoming animated series Star Wars Rebels.  Gentle Giant announced their latest Rebels maquette, this time featuring Zeb (voiced on the series by Steve Blum).   The maquette is available for pre-order now and will ship in Q2 of 2015.

Gentle Giant Jumbo Vintage Wicket

Also from Gentle Giant is the latest in their Jumbo versions of the vintage Kenner toys.  Wicket the Ewok is the latest to get this treatment.  The figure is available for pre-order now and will ship in Q2 of 2015.

According to Gentle Giant,
Digitally scanned from mint 3 ¾” scale Kenner originals and reproduced at a jumbo 6.125” tall, no detail has been overlooked. Roto cast and made of durable plastics, this jumbo figure includes faithfully reproduced cowl and staff accessories! It even comes fully articulated!

With a commitment to keep in line with the vintage Kenner experience, Gentle Giant has packaged this figure with a Return of the Jedi-inspired backer card featuring original photos and artwork. Designed with the collector in mind, the figure comes in a resealable plastic outer clam shell to help protect and display this limited edition figure.

SDCC Exclusive 31" JAKKS Shadow Trooper Revealed

The Hollywood Reporter exclusively revealed this new collectible.  The figure will only be available at San Diego Comic Con this July, and there will only be 500 of them made.  The figure, which stands at 31 inched, has seven points of articulation, and comes with an imperial blaster, will cost $50.00

Report: Black Series Bossk, C-3PO, and Han Solo (Stormtrooper) Coming this Fall

The team over at Jedi Temple Archives have heard that Bossk, C-3PO, and Han Solo (Stormtrooper) will be released as part of the black series six inch line of figures.







There sure was a tone of Star Wars collectibles announced this week.  Personally, I'm most intrigued by the Zeb Maquette.   The Falcon also looks cool, though it seems to be more kid oriented than previous big Millennium Falcon's (which is great if you've got younglings you want to impress!)   Let us know which of these you're most excited for!Fire away in the comments below, tweet us @TheSWU, or join the discussion in Club SWU on Facebook!

Gentle Giant Announces Ezra and Chopper Maquette

You can tell a new Star Wars release is getting near when the merchandise starts being announced!  Giant Giant announced the first Star Wars Rebels maquette this week!  The maquette (pictured above) features Ezra (played by Taylor Gray on the series) standing on top of the grumpy droid, Chopper!  The maquette is scheduled for a Q1 2015 release and is available for pre-order, for $120.00, today!

The official product description reads,

I must say, this product looks awesome and I am seriously considering ordering one for myself!  Also, I love that the first product from the series features two of the main characters!
