Public Memorial Service For Carrie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds Announced For March 25th

A public memorial service for Hollywood icons Carrie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds will be held on March 25th.  The event is organized by Todd Fisher, Debbie's son and Carrie's brother, and will be held at Forrest Lawn Hollywood Hills, Hall of Liberty Theater.  Seating will be first come, first serve and there are no tickets for the event.  It will begin at 1pm.  The events description reads,

The passing of Hollywood icons Carrie Fisher and her mother Debbie Reynolds late last year still weighs heavy on the minds of their millions of fans.  In tribute to the lives and careers of the two women The Golden Globes, which took place tonight in Hollywood, featured a video montage of highlights from the works of Carrie and Debbie.  This, of course, included a couple of Star Wars moments for Carrie (the speeder bike chase in Return of the Jedi and General Leia in The Force Awakens.  See it for yourself below,

'Bright Lights', The Documentary About Carrie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds, To Air January 7th on HBO

The world is still reeling from the sudden loss of Princess Leia actress Carrie Fisher and her mother, Singin' in the Rain star, Debbie Reynolds.  Memorials of all sorts have been pouring in over the past few days, honouring the two women.  The two were the subject of the documentary Bright Lights, which debuted at Cannes earlier this year with both women present to promote it.  The documentary was originally slated for release in March, but directors Alexis Bloom and Fisher Stevens, along with distributor HBO, decided to move up the release date following their passing.  Bright Lights will now air on January 7th at 8pm on HBO.
