  1. So this is super late but I am catching up on old eps and feel it is worth noting, EA is not doing well financially. Investors are bailing and fast

That's Resident Evil 2's remake that beat their flagship game for quarter 1, a remake of a game from 21 years ago. Suffice to say, it is reasonable for people to ask Iger about this and expect something more neutral or at least addressing the future. and then there is their abusive treatment of employees, which we saw with Ragtag, and honestly I still want LFL to acknowledge that fact.

  2. Sorry to double post but I should add, while yes undershooting with BFII is not that bad, it does become an issue when that is essentially the only SW game they have put out so far along with the first one. Dice's main series Battlefield V under-performed, and Anthem was expected to be their big take with an ideal 6M in 6 weeks, so far it is not close to that. Performing less than Andromeda did, and that game had a terrible launch and major backlash for being unfinished.

Also the gambling thing with BFII no doubt hurts trust, sure they sold 9M copies, but nearly having your business partner be put on the world stage for selling gambling to children with your IP is not good. 9M in sales does not make up for that, not to mention EA losing stocks from the situation

Getting Belgium, as well as US lawmakers to threaten legal action with your IP is never good. I don't wanna be cynical....but dangit EA has earned this fate and we all really need to make it clear that just running out the clock till the IP leaves their hands is not ok, cause the next IP and the next small studio they buy up, and so on and so on are gonna suffer.

Misusing the SW IP should just be the tip of the iceberg for all of us, cause these predatory business practices abuse workers and consumers and happened before, and will continue long after, they lose the rights to star wars. I say this as someone who plays BFII every week.
