Comic book fans have a ton of great content to look forward to all the time now thanks to Marvel Comics! An assortment of comic news dropped this week, including several previews of some upcoming issues, including one that's wrapping up soon, as well some unfortunate delays that are happening. You can check it all out below!
First off, StarWars.com released a preview from Star Wars #22. Written by Jason Aaron with illustration by Jorge Molina, issue #22 further explores the adventures of Han, Luke and Leia in the time following the Battle Of Yavin and their new mission to hijack an Imperial Star Destroyer. You can see the preview below, which features several pages from the issue along with the cover art created by Mike Deodato, Jr.:
In addition, we also were treated to previews of issues #24 and #25 of Star Wars: Darth Vader. These two books will finally close out this particular series and give a conclusion to the story that has been led by Vader, Doctor Aphra and the droids Triple Zero and Bee Tee. While issue #24 is due out next Wednesday, August 10th, there will be a bit of a wait for issue #25. We'll have more on that below the preview for issue #24, which you can see here courtesy of Jedi-Bibliothek:
Darth Vader #25 was originally supposed to ship this week, but according to Newsarama it has been delayed for unknown reasons. That issue has been pushed back to October 5th. It also appears that issues #4 and #5 of the recently launched Han Solo series has been delayed until October 12th and November 9th, respectively. Poe Dameron #7 has also been halted for release until October 26th.
Earlier this week two variant covers for Darth Vader #25, created by artists Adi Granov(left) and John Tyler Christopher(right), were revealed on the latest episode of The Star Wars Show. You can check those out below:

Looking forward to Han Solo #3 been enjoying that mini series so far Also the regular Star Wars comic series is getting good again I liked issue #21 and the TFA Comic Adaptation has been good too along with the Poe Dameron ongoing Comic Series . The delays with the comics from Marvel is a little bit concerning though. Marvel has been doing a lot of that with the Star Wars Comics over the past year.
ReplyDeleteI've been thinking about looking at the Darth Vader series and I've read that a really nice hardcover edition of the entire series is coming.
ReplyDeleteThe art from the main series looks interesting. I haven't read an issue since that ridiculous Mon Cal cyborg Sith Lord. That just ruined it for me. Poe Dameron *nearly* went the same way with that over sized cricket monster but that series has since got itself back on track.
Han Solo feels like the best of the bunch right now.
