StarWars.com has revealed the cover for the upcoming novel Star Wars: Aftermath - Life Debt by Chuck Wendig. The novel is a sequel to Star Wars: Aftermath which came out earlier this year and debuted at #4 on the New York Times Best Sellers List. Life Debt will pick up after the events of the first novel, which was set about six months after Return of the Jedi. Check out the cover below,
The cover features the Millennium Falcon, which suggests to me that a certain interlude from the first novel will be picked up on in Life Debt. A third Aftermath novel titled Star Wars: Aftermath - Empire's End is also in the works from Wendig.
Star Wars: Aftermath - Life Debt is scheduled to hit shelves in Summer 2016

I hope this is something more than just a Han and Chewie story. As good or bad as that may be, it feels like a bit of a departure from the story and characters of the other book. Even the Han and Chewie set-up in the last book felt tacked on disconnected from that story.
ReplyDeleteI have a feeling that the setup from the last book is the next adventure for the A-team cast from the first book.
ReplyDeleteThat was awkward sounding, I usually grammar pretty good.
DeleteAftermath was pretty boring!!
