With photos, TV spots and trailers for The Force Awakens galore nowadays it's easy to forgot we've still got brand new episodes of Star Wars Rebels coming out each week. Now, thanks to a report by Star Wars News Net, we have received information on the next batch of episodes that will be airing between now and when The Force Awakens hits theaters.
Apparently listings for five new episodes of Star Wars Rebels appeared on Zap2It, which provide us with titles and air times for each episode. Star Wars News Net also provided story synopses for the first two episodes. You can check it all out below:
Blood Sisters - Airing Wednesday, November 18th at 9:30pm ET/PT
"After running into an old friend from Mandalore, Sabine must confront House Vizsla to restore the honor of her family."
Stealth Strike - Airing Wednesday, November 25th at 9:30pm ET/PT
"A new Imperial ship captures Ezra, Commander Sato, and his crew, forcing Kanan and Rex to go undercover as Stormtroopers to free the Rebels."
The Future Of The Force - Airing Wednesday, December 2nd at 9:30pm ET/PT
Legacy - Airing Wednesday, December 9th at 9:30pm ET/PT
The Secret Of Prisoner X10 - Airing Saturday, December 12th at 9:30pm ET/PT
Notice that the mid-season premiere, "The Secret Of Prisoner X10", is airing on the Saturday prior to the premiere of The Force Awakens. This has led to some speculation that this episode could tie into The Force Awakens in some way. It seems unlikely, but we can definitely hope so. Nevertheless, we'll have plenty of Rebels to entertain us while we wait for the new film.

mid-season premiere or mid-season finale??
ReplyDeleteI don't see how moving the episode up to Saturday makes it in any way connected with TFA...it would have aired before the premiere even if they left it on Wednesday, so that just seems like some pointless logical leaping...
ReplyDeleteIt's not illogical. There will probably be a big lead up to the mid season finale. They probably will play a marathon of episodes leading up to the prisoner episode. With all the marketing weve gotten I can see them being very loud about Rebels around that time. I can also see why they wouldn't want the movie to overshadow the show and vice versa.

ReplyDeleteYou would think it would be more likely something leading up to Rougue Squadron, but that's only another season away. Starkiller would be awesome!
ReplyDeleteStarkiller is legend. I liked the first game very much but dont think the use something from unleashed or squadron. Maybe something more like a new droid from the same model as bb8. Or relatives from the main characters of TFA
ReplyDeleteFor those checking the air dates, "The Prisoner of X10" is an error. That was the original title for "Legacy" and it airs on December 9th without any episode on the 12th.
