  4. That trailer was AMAZING! I'm so happy right now!
And if the music sounds as good in the final film as it does in this trailer, then this will have the best Star Wars score yet.
And even if it isn't, it will still be good. John Williams is the man.

  5. Rey is crying over a lifeless Chewbacca. Rumors said Han dies. They got that wrong :(

    1. That looked like Adam Driver, not Chewie.

    2. On second thought you may be right. What I thought was an ear was Ray's hand.

    3. I say Chewie. You can see what might be his leather satchel bag and also what looks like wookie. Maybe that's why Leia is hugging Han.

  6. Looked more like Finn has been mortally wounded or severely wounded. And Kylo Ren is a confirmed Vader fanboy. Hmmmmm. Eh, this trailer was supposed to reveal a lot but it only revealed that Abrams can't solve his lens flare problem. Oh well, I'll wait till I see it I guess. Would rather have Thrawn or the ACTUAL New jedi order. Sigh.

  7. It seems a big a secret is about to be unveiled. Han is apparently telling a story that they are reluctant to accept. Oh my, this trailer made me cry!

  10. Speaking as one who saw "Star Wars" as a kid in 1977 (and again and again and again and again afterwards), I cannot express how moved I was watching this trailer - with my 7 yr old sitting next to me getting just as excited as I was.

The movie will NOT be what every fanboy thinks it should be, or could have been. And I say - thank God! There's a reason they gave it to JJ, and not you.

However the movie turns out, JJ has worked a WORK, and done it better than 99.999999% of the human population could have done.

Embrace the joy, Relish the fun. Enjoy the ride.

  12. Wait, wait, Finn was "raised for this"? What's that mean?

  13. I'm excited but I'm still disappointed that the EU is no longer canon.

  14. So the Falcon gets blown up? That kinda sucks.

  17. Epicstream reports:

"He watched a scene being shot at Greenham common airbase in which Leia is sad and says, 'I don't know how he will cope without him,' my source told me Han Solo dies, I quizzed him and he said he just presumed, I then asked who was she talking to, he said a couple of wookies but not Chewy, I asked him could you have meant that Chewy dies, he said that might have been the case, he didn't know just that one of them does."

  18. The Knights of Ren at 1:23??? Has to be.

  19. Please don't let it be Chewie. I couldn't stand all the crying and blubbering from the audience. And that would just be ME.

  20. There is stories about what happened....... it's true..... all of it....... I know, the 6 years old boy that I was in 1977 witness it and it's hapening again in 2015. Might be the best SW movie to date! The world will feel the FORCE!

  21. in the original expanded universe, chewie died as well

  22. It looks infinitely better than the prequel's, which is surprising considering now Disney owns Lucas films. I was expecting it to be more cheesy than the prequel's

  23. its not me right? one of the last sequences in the trailer is the millennium falcon kamikazing into the bridge of that star destroyer or the star killer?

  24. I have a Crazy theory. What if this new death star built inside the Jedi Crystal snowy Planet »ILUM« and they use the Power from all the Kyber crystal inside to create the new powerful weapon

  25. Fantastic trailer! Now let's talk about directors a bit.

JJ Abrams was a controversial director for Star Trek. But perhaps he's the perfect fit for Star Wars. Here's an article about what Abrams has done with Trek and what we think he'll do for Star Wars. At the end is a poll asking you if you think Star Wars will be better served by the Abrams/Disney combo or not.
