Report: New Photo Of Rey & Chewbacca In 'The Force Awakens'

By: Benjamin Hart

With The Force Awakens only a few months away we may have another peek at a new scene that could give us a hint at the ultimate outcome of the film. Our friends at Making Star Wars uncovered a photo that gives us another look at Rey(Daisy Ridley) and Chewbacca(Peter Mayhew) and it may just confirm a major spoiler that previously leaked. If you're familiar with all of the plot leaks then the following shouldn't be a surprise to you, but you don't know, and don't want to know the what happens at the end of The Force Awakens, then read no more. There is potential MAJOR SPOILERS ahead.

Making Star Wars reports that Owen Ward on Twitter tweeted a photos of a The Force Awakens themed notebook he found on Reddit. The book features Chewbacca prominently on the cover surrounded by other smaller images of Chewie and the Millennium Falcon. One photo in the bottom left shows Chewie with Rey in the cockpit of the Falcon. Because of where Rey is sitting in the cockpit and both hers and Chewie's expressions have led many to believe this scene takes place immediately following a major event in the movie.

(Again, SPOILERS!) Most speculation points to this being immediately after the death of Han Solo, thus their sad expressions and Rey taking Han's place at the Falcon's controls. Of course nothing is confirmed as of yet, so take all of this with a grain of salt. And we shouldn't expect it to until Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens hits theaters December 18th, 2015!

  1. (MAYBE SPOILER FOR EPISODE 8) I remember reading somewhere that Han gets a new ally in Episode 8 played by Donnie Yen...so I don't think he's gonna die in this movie.

  6. Harrison Ford wanted Han Solo to die in an important sacrificial way during the original trilogy to give his character more depth, but Lucas wouldn't have it. He may have gotten his wish with The Force Awakens.

  7. They're sad because they just found out their drunken fling has resulted in pregnancy.

  8. Maybe they are sad cause they have to fly to Naboo and pick up Jar Jar Binks and take him to his geriatric appointment? /yes we all know why they really are sad. And we will be too.

  9. Actually maybe confirm two spoilers: Han dies and Rey is his daughter (I don" think Chewie won"t allows a person who wasn"t very close to Han pilot the Millenium Falcon)
