EXCLUSIVE: Code Name for 2016 Stand Alone Film Revealed

By: Dominic Jones

On tonight's SWU Podcast we made not one but two reveals!  The first was of a new droid from Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens, the second one deals with the mysterious 2016 Star Wars Stand Alone film directed by Gareth Edwards and written by Gary Whitta.  This information was given to us by a source close to the production.  We're not going to issue a spoiler alert because this code name likely has little to do with the plot (though that won't stop us from speculating).

The code name is: Los Alamos.

To hear us reveal the info and speculate about its meaning, including how it could tie into this rumor, check out this week's SWU Podcast below,

  1. I listened to the podcast and didn't hear you mention Los Alamos, the coty in New Mexico. Los Alamos Laboratory conducted research for the Manhattan project, for atmoic bombs. It seems to me that this code name associates the US development of atomic weapons with the Empire developing a super weapon. This codename corroborates rumors that the next spinoff film will be about rebel spies stealing the Death Star plans.
