Rumor: Lawrence Kasdan Writing Boba Fett Spin Off Film

For more than a year now we have been hearing a lot, both officially and unofficially, about the Star Wars spin off films. Yoda, Han Solo and Boba Fett have all been rumored to have their own stand alone movies. Now we have seem to have confirmation of one of the films, as well as who's writing it. On a recent episode of AMC Movie Talk, writer/director Jon Schnepp looks to have spilled the beans on the Boba Fett film:

"I know they haven't announced it, but one of them is Boba Fett... I know for a fact.... It is the one written by Lawrence Kasdan."

Schnepp seemed serious about his claim, despite joking with the other hosts shortly thereafter. Being a filmaker himself, it would make sense that he would have insider info. You can watch the video below, Schnepp's comments are at 4:11.

This just adds more fuel to the fire of rumors that have surrounding the the spin off films. Even before the Disney acquisition, Joe Johnston, who intially designed Boba Fett for The Empire Strikes Back, expressed interest in directing a Boba Fett film. Could he finally get his wish? With Johnston directing and Kasdan writing, this could be a very promising film.
